1. Kibe
Andrew Kibe and Kamene Goro held a live video chat on Instagram. According to #KOT, Andrew Kibe’s house was a complete mess to the point that it looked as if he was being held somewhere against his will. They expressed their surprise that someone of his stature, who is thought to ean a lot, can have such a home. Men, on the other hand, congratulated him and added to his Gangsta points, saying that real men should live in such conditions.

2. William Ruto & Deputy President & rutosmokedout
The Deputy President gave a press conference after he had been away from the limelight for a while. #KOT were of the opinion that his statement added nothing new to what the government had already said through the President and the Ministry of Health. Some even saw the press briefing as insubordination to the president.

3. Itumbi
Denis Itumbi, who was once a digital strategist in state house, has been trending after Ruto’s emergence. Cosidered by #KOT to be one of Ruto’s advisers, he was associated with Ruto’s press briefing.

The leading daily newspapers in Kenya, The Standard, Nation and The Star pasted their front pages with the “We Stand With Kenya Message.” The message aimed at inspiring hope that Kenyans would emerge victorious from the Corona pandemic.

The CS was trending in anticipation of the daily briefing by the Ministry of Health and because his press briefings were being compared to the Deputy President’s briefing.

6. welpayinfluencers

This hashtag has been trending because apparently, the Women Empowerment Link failed to pay the influencers it used to advance their campaign against Gender Based Violence and for Gender Equality in Kenya. Those same influencers turned against WEL, condemning a human rights organization for failing to respect their rights as influencers and urging sponsors to cut off donations to the Influencers.

7. Absa

Absa Kenya was trending after the CBK took regulatory action against them for failing to provide certain information in their forex trades. Such withholding of information could be linked to money laundering. Absa was suspended from trading in Forex until April 15.

8. Peter drury

Nostalgic football fans were reliving Peter Drury’s commentary, with several of his clips circulating. One of the most prominent ones was an interview with Ghana’s Nana Aba done about a month ago.

9. ssebo

Museveni showing Ugandans how indoor exercise is done

Yoweri Museveni criticized Ugandans who were going jogging in groups, telling them that they should instead work out from home. To prove his point, he started his morning with an indoor workout, where he jogged and did 30 push ups inside the state house. Ssebo is a Ugandan word which translates to sir.
